About me
Gabe Martinez is a Colorado native, born and raised in a community that has shaped who he currently is and hopes to become. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022, where he studied Political Science with minors in Philosophy and Leadership, in addition to obtaining a certificate in Public Health.
Gabe has a strong passion for leadership development in youth, as he currently serves as the Alumni and Associates chair for the Colorado Association of Family Career and Community Leaders of America. While in high school, he was highly active within the organization serving as a Chapter, District, and two-time State Officer, even representing the Colorado delegation as a National Officer Candidate at the 2018 National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Gabe understands that the future of our society is dependent on the zeal of our youth to establish change within our communities, an eagerness that he has seen year after year with members of FCCLA.
As a young Latino male in today’s climate, he has dedicated himself to excelling academically and getting involved in the community to serve as a role model to other minorities. He hopes future generations will reflect on his advocacy and note that success is not only obtained by a select few people, but by all who remain persistent and engage in never-ending work to accomplish their goals. He seeks to establish change within his local community by pursuing a career as a public servant and one day becoming the City Manager of Greeley. Upon reinforcing a sense of community equity within my hometown, he aspires to run for the United States Congress and bring change to all constituents he represents.
