Food is wasted all across the food system and thrown in the landfill, causing a major environmental impact. All the while, hundreds of millions of people are faced with food insecurity all around the world. We Don’t Waste is a non-profit organization located in Denver with a mission to increase food access and protect the planet by rescuing and repurposing food, while educating and advocating to decrease food waste and food insecurity.
This workshop explores where and why food gets wasted, food insecurity, and the environmental impact to provide you with a greater understanding of our food system and the problems food waste creates.
